According to well-documented research, we are probably the world's oldest documented textile family business. Börje Larsson, the family's first known member, was born in 1540. The time was marked by self-sufficiency and the textiles that were needed were woven on the farms. The family's sustenance grew from this knowledge. But it was not until well into the 17th century, that the Ekuland brand took shape in what is now Linneväveriet in Horred, Sweden.
